Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
➤ Who is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)?
Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are highly trained and licensed members of the veterinary healthcare team. They provide skilled medical and surgical assistance, anesthesia support, patient monitoring, laboratory diagnostics, imaging, and compassionate nursing care.
To become an RVT, individuals must complete an accredited veterinary technology program, pass the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE), and meet state licensing requirements. In California, RVTs are credentialed through the California Veterinary Medical Board (VMB) and must uphold the highest professional and ethical standards to ensure excellent patient care.
At Golden State Veterinary Specialists (GSVS), our RVTs play an essential role in every aspect of patient care. They collaborate closely with our board-certified specialists and referring veterinarians to deliver seamless, compassionate, and advanced medical support. Their expertise ensures efficient, precise, and attentive care—helping every patient heal safely and comfortably.
